Why is a postcard company called Reel Chance Media?
BECAUSE I AM A FILMMAKER!
I started Reel Chance Media to make movies, but movies need marketing, and they take money to make, so I decided Reel Chance Media would help other small businesses help each other, and in the process help Reel Chance Media with the toughest challenge facing motion picture production companies.
As the founder of Reel Chance Media I believe strong local small business are vital to having a great place to live, and I believe a great place to live creates the best environment for people to want to enjoy the communal experience of going to the movies. I also know that the best way to start a film production company is to follow Walt Disney’s example, and use the revenue generated from commissioned work to pay talented people to make movies, but making movies is not enough today because there are so many more movies being made.
“We don’t make movies to make money, We make money to make more movies.” -Walt Disney. With that simple principle in mind Reel Chance Media was started with the goal of helping small businesses put themselves in front of more potential customers so that Reel Chance Media could also put itself in front of more customers by reducing its marketing costs. Yes, I, the filmmaker behind the company want to help you lower your cost of advertising, so that I can lower my own cost of advertising, and yes, I will use any profits generated by helping you to fund the creation of the entertaining films I want to make.
Reel Chance Media is film production company first and foremost, not a marketer, but every great filmmaker knows, getting eyeballs on your work is the best reward. For our clients, getting more eyeballs on our work, gets more exposure for your business. I see this as a win-win-win scenario because we are in this together as a community of small business people. It is little guys banding together to take on the big guys.

Our founder started making movies when he Was in high school on VHS!
The best movies are always about the underdog beating the big guys. I started Reel Chance Media to help the little guys succeed!
Our founder went to film school at Syracuse University during the 1990s and made his first films on “Old School” celluloid while he was still a student there. His classmates included the director of the film “Mayhem” which starred Steven Yeun of ‘The Walking Dead,” and the co-writers of “Everly” which starred Salma Hayek.
Even with what on the surface looks like success for his friends from film school, our founder understands that in today’s environment most films are ignored because there are so many films being made, it is hard to cut through the noise and be heard as a filmmaker.
The same problem exists for small local businesses, but a simple 9″ x 12″ postcard can cut through that noise and get you at the top of mind in ways that very few pieces of media can today. But printing and mailing 5,000 or 10,000 post cards to your local market can get expensive. That is why we developed our cooperative ad program.
By allowing businesses in different industries, but in the same community to market their businesses together, we have lowered the price for everyone and because we are just a little bit self-interested, it can help Reel Chance Media build an audience for our movies too!
